Who does the Fremont Oktoberfest benefit?
The Fremont Oktoberfest is a fundraiser for the Fremont Chamber of Commerce. The mission of the Chamber is to promote the Fremont neighborhood, area merchants, and to provide funding for local art groups, schools, community events and overall promoting Fremont for what it is today "The Center of the Universe," and have a lot of Fremont fun doing it. The Chamber does this by donating to the Fremont Library, History House and the Boys and Girls Club in Wallingford. Also by being a major sponsor of the BF Day School Auction, the Fremont Chamber of Commerce helps to keep BF Day as the oldest continually operating school in Seattle, and Fremont's only public elementary school. As well as facilitating events that attract families and children to Fremont such as Kids' Day, a Halloween Trick-or-Treat and of course the Oktoberfest. So come down and enjoy sampling some great beer, in the best neighborhood in the universe while supporting the Fremont Chamber of Commerce.
Drinking responsibly...
The Fremont Oktoberfest encourages everyone to drink responsibly. The fine, craft-brewed beverages available at this event are best consumed in moderation and savored for their unique flavors, aromas, and textures. Over-consumption of alcohol can affect our bodies, judgement, and perception. It is our responsibility as friends, family, and responsible citizens to watch out for others. We have set up a few ways to ensure that everyone gets home safely after tasting the many great beers poured at the event. Please take advantage of them. Please remember, DON’T DRINK and DRIVE!
Designated Drivers
If you are a part of a group and plan to drink, assign a designated driver. Designated drivers are admitted for $8 and receive tickets that can be used for water and soft drinks. Designated drivers may not drink beer while at the festival. Please abide by this rule and help us make this a safe event for everyone.
Safe Rides
If you do drink and find that you have passed the point where you can safely drive home, please go to the Ticket Booth and we will help you arrange a safe ride home. Please know your limit and DON’T DRINK and Drive.
