Dog Day Afternoon

Sunday is Dog Day at Fremont Oktoberfest and we have a full day of activities to share with man’s (or woman’s) best friend.

Run with your dog in the Brew HA-HA 5K or Street Scramble:

Take a break from the Green Lake loop and run along the Fremont Ship Canal or scavenge through the streets of Fremont!

  • Brew HA-HA 5K starts Sunday at 10:00 am
  • Brew HA-HA Street Scramble starts Sunday at 10:30 am

Strut your Mutt in the CityDog Magazine Cover Dog Model Contest:

CityDog Magazine wants to see if your dog has what it takes to be the next Cover Dog in their 4th annual Cover Dog Model Search.  Let “Fido” strut his stuff on the runway and be in the running to be a Cover Dog Model for CityDog Magazine.

Does your Pooch look like Santa’s Little Helper?

New this year to Dog Day Afternoon is The Simpson’s 20th Anniversary Santa’s Little Helper Dog Look-A-Like Contest. Bring down your greyhound or any dog that sports a brown coat of fur.  Enter in the CityDog Magazine Cover Dog Model Contest and make sure to check the box that says you are vying for the Santa’s Little Helper title!  Need to little refresher on Santa’s Little Helper’s good looks?  Check out his website.

‘Hair of the Dog’ Day:

Sunday is the only day your dog is able to join you in the Stranger Microbrew Garden.  Bring man’s best friend on down and recover from your weekend.
